Rhodium plated wavy "shell" brooch with security clasp. Marked crown "TRIFARI" on the back. Measures: 1 3/4 inches by 1 5/8 inches. Condition: Very good; some light surface wear to metal. This design was patented by Alfred Phillippe in 1944 (Patent #137,545). However, due to the use of rhodium and not being stamped with the design patent number, I believe this was made in the later 1940s.
