1954-1955 silvertone "chinese lampsticks" round domed top with rectangular domed drop with cut out Chinese characters that connect to another identical section on the back. Marked "NAPIER" on the inside dip of the clip. Measure: 3 1/4 inches long by 1 inch wide. Condition: Very good; tarnish normal for their age. They have not been polished. A goldtone & white enamel version of these earrings is shown on pg. 312 of Melinda L. Lewis & Henry Swen's book "The Napier Co.: Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry." Designed by Anne Fogarty, one of the winners of Mademoiselle's merit award in 1950.
